Ventera Named to Deloitte and Touche "Technology Fast 50"

Award recognizes regional tech companies that are tops in revenue growth over five years

McLean, VA - October 10, 2002 - Ventera Corporation today announced that, for the second year in a row, it has been recognized as one of the region's fastest growing technology companies. The "Technology Fast 50" award is based on Ventera's 441% growth since 1997.

The award is sponsored by Deloitte & Touche. To qualify, companies headquartered in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia must have had revenues of at least $50,000 in 1997 and must make a substantial investment in technology research and development. In addition to being named among the Fast 50 the past two years, in 2000 Ventera was named one of three winners of the program's "Virginia Rising Star" award.

Robert Acosta, CEO of Ventera, said, "A difficult economy and tighter budgets have made organizations heavily scrutinize each IT investment. Ventera's continued prosperity the past two years is a testament to our team's ability to consistently deliver valuable results for our customers. Being named again to the Fast 50 is an important accolade that everyone on the Ventera team appreciates."
