Ventera achieves CMMI® Maturity Level 2
Ventera achieved a key milestone by earning Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®) Maturity Level 2 rating in a SCAMPI Class A appraisal. CMMI is a globally recognized standard for assessing software development and maintenance processes. CMMI is used by many government agencies and private sector organizations in selecting high-quality suppliers of software products and services. CMMI credentials require implementation of a rigorous process improvement approach, and can serve to assure clients that their systems engineering, integration, and software projects will be completed on time with high quality and within budget.
This industry-recognized certification validates the high-quality, repeatable and results-driven processes that Ventera employs for project delivery. The Level 2 rating is indicative of many exemplary project, requirements, quality, and configuration management practices that are repeatable and are leveraged fully to ensure the delivery of timely and quality products.
Ventera originally achieved a successful appraisal and rating in April 2007. In March 2010, Ventera achieved a successful re-appraisal and rating. During the re-appraisal process the external reviewers found Ventera to possess no areas of weakness and several areas of particular strength. In addition, the reviewers noted numerous areas where Ventera was operating at a level consistent with CMMI level 3. Ventera continues to streamline and improve our CMMI level 2 practices and incorporate new processes consistent with level 3 practices which benefits our clients through higher quality products.
