Serving the Community

Ventera embraces the responsibility of serving our community to make it better. We encourage our people to get involved in worthy causes outside of work, to give back to our community, and also to help them maintain a rewarding, healthy work-life balance.

Our commitment starts with Robert Acosta, Ventera’s founder and CEO. Robert sits on the Board of Directors of The Neediest Kids, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to disadvantaged youth in the Washington DC area. The Neediest Kids works directly with school administrators and community leaders to identify at-risk school children and provide them with items essential to their attendance and success in school – basics such as meals, eyeglasses, clothes, and school supplies.

At the corporate level, Ventera donates substantial time and money annually to causes such as the Fannie Mae Foundation, Dave Lamanca Memorial Golf Scholarship, Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Miracle Network, Arlington and Fairfax County Public Schools & Youth Associations, and the American Cancer Society. In addition, Ventera has contributed to a number of Relief efforts in times of world tragedy including the American Red Cross, Doctors without Borders, UNICEF, International Medical Corps, and World Hope International.

In addition, Ventera is a corporate sponsor for the Northern Virginia Family Service CARE Award and participates in several of their annual events, including school supplies and food collection drives. Ventera employees are also active participants in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and March of Dimes Walk.

For these and other contributions to the community, Ventera is a multi-year recipient of the Washington Business Journal Circle of Community Investors Award, recognizing Ventera’s contributions of time and financial resources to community organizations in the Washington D.C. area.
