Data That Matters

Pension administration data matters. It matters to the members who depend on the accurate calculation of retirement and disability retirement benefits and it matters to beneficiaries who depend on continuance benefits and lump sum distributions. Ventera Corporation values the importance of each plan’s data, and the value we place on its accuracy is reflected in the strategies we use and the best practices we apply. For each client, our overarching goal is to: "Apply innovative and efficient methodologies and best practices to deliver cost-saving, accurate and effective Pension Data Services that enable clients to provide timely, high quality services to their membership."

Services That Save

Ventera's Pension Data Services staff members can achieve cost savings for their supported customers. Our specialists can conduct stand-alone data analysis and cleansing projects to help agencies deliver faster, more accurate calculations and other services to their members. Perhaps more importantly, these projects can also assist agencies in identifying and resolving the root causes of data integrity issues. Once these causes are identified, Ventera staff can propose a plan for the agency to implement safeguards against the continued introduction of bad data. Overall, these projects can result in enormous cost savings to agencies, as better data equates to reduced staff time, fewer member call-ins, higher quality services and it can even help agencies avoid becoming involved in expensive litigation as a result of an incorrect calculation. These services don’t necessarily need to be conducted in concert with an overall system upgrade – it's never the wrong time to analyze and cleanse your data!

Our data services specialists are able to provide the following services:

  • Conduct comprehensive data cleansing analysis preceding the award of the line-of-business contract. This analysis is often critical to the success of the upgrade project, as it allows for dedicated time – and dedicated client staff resources – to give agency data the priority that it deserves.
  • Bridge communication gaps between client technical staff and LOB vendor staff. Ventera's staff has been involved on many implementation projects, have both client server and mainframe experience, and can ensure effective communication regarding data requirements and availability.
  • Ensure data migration accuracy by applying years of experience and best practices to data mapping tasks, data reconciliation planning, migration testing and data bridging implementation.
  • Provides a checks-and-balances system to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness for each data service deliverable. In short, employing a specialist in delivering pension data services is like having “project oversight” for your data migration!
